Title: Silence is Golden Volume 3
Author: Wattpad Author Robert Thier
Series: Storm and Silence Saga
Release Date: Amazon-September 4, 2017
Silent. Cold. Chiselled perfection. That is Rikkard Ambrose, the most powerful business mogul in Great Britain.
Free-spirited. Fiery. Definitely NOT attracted to the aforementioned business mogul. That is Lilly Linton, his personal secretary and secret weapon.
The two have been playing a cat and mouse game for months. So far, Lilly has been able to fight down and deny her attraction to Mr Ambrose. But what happens when suddenly, the dark secrets of his past begin to surface and they are forced to go on a perilous journey into the South-American jungle? A journey they can only survive if they band together?
I have been in love with Lilly Linton since I first read Storm and Silence. I actually find myself laughing out loud at her witty comments. My jaw may even drop open on occasion while picturing her outrageous exploits! Rob Thier created excellent characters and dynamic situations while telling this quirky tale. The erratic relationship between Lilly Linton and Mr. Rikkard Ambrose continues to capture my attention. These two are such opposites in so many ways and….yes…opposites DO attract!
At times, each lead character drives me crazy with the choices they make or things they say. Neither Lilly or Mr. Ambrose follow a predictable script, making the story line take unexpected turns and jackknife twists. Although the routes they take would not be the roads I would have chosen for them to go, I so appreciate that usually Rob Their gets them to where I want them to be-at least for a page or two. Honestly, now that they are back home in England, I am hoping a certain Captain will pursue Lilly and force our frosty Mr. Ambrose to make some decisions. I actually adore the idea of Lilly being pursued and even courted by the handsome British Army Captain Carter. Fortunately, Lilly already enjoys his company and he appears to enjoy hers as well.
In this installment of the Storm and Silence Saga, I found a new love for an old and rarely appearing character; Lilly’s Uncle Bufford. This man is a perfect guardian for Lilly. I thoroughly enjoy the ever so limited banter between Lilly and her Uncle. Lilly’s honesty with him, although only partial truths, is still refreshing. Uncle Bufford reminds me of Mr. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. I am very much anticipating the next adventure for Lilly and Mr. Ambrose in the forth installment of this saga, Silence Breaking.
