Classic Challenge

Originally, this whole blog was started as a way for us to expand our classic literature horizons.  Neither of us have read very many, and are ashamed of this fact.  In order to improve ourselves as human beings and to become more well-rounded writers, we set out on a journey to review the wonders that are…classic literature.  We have set a goal of one classic novel per month to read and review.  Our (currently short) lists of “Conquered” Classic Novels will hopefully continue to grow with many amazing titles.

There seems to be a muddled definition of specifically when and why literature should be deemed as classic.  For simplicity on this blog, our Classic Challenge Curriculum list includes titles that have already been accepted as classics and those popular, well-written works which may or may not be determined as classics in the future.  “Conquered Classics” are discernible from our “Coming-Someday Classics” below by the filtered cover: A purple check for Wendy and a blue check for Audrey.  To read any of our Classic reviews, click below on either Audrey or Wendy’s Conquered Classics.
